Some silly things I learned the hard way and some not so silly things to remember. 

1.) Remember to put your shoes on when you leave to run errands! [Easier to forget when you live in FL!]

3.) Be Patient

4.) Always pack everything on any packing list ;]

5.) Communicate, communicate, communicate!

6.) Be protective of your team.

7.) Know your limitations.

8.) Fabric softener sheets are a brilliant fast way to a good smelling room ;] Simply tape the sheets on your ceiling fan and away they go! Caution: I later learned this is extremely bad for you health!

9.) Pray always.

10.) When it comes to watching children, never have favorites. Treasure each of them the same.

11.) Never let your frustrations towards your leaders show in front of students.

12.) Silently taking offense is a bait Satan uses to set us against one another. Big quarrels can be prevented if you just communicate what's bothering you.

13.) Always have an extra pair of clothes in you vehicle.

14.) Learning to cook and bake is absolutely wonderful!

15.) Sometimes you've got to be Bold.

16.) Love always. Unconditionally.

17.) Be ready to forgive.

18.) Ask forgiveness when you're wrong.

19.) With children - Have fun!! You'll become their favorite person!

20.) You are an example to little girls whether you know it, like it or not.

21.) Encourage little girls to be ladies and little boys to be gentlemen.

22.) Finding resources throughout the home for children's games quickly becomes an all time favorite thing to do.

-- Old ice cream bucket & beanie babies make for a great game of toss.

-- A wire hanger, old panty hose, and balloons make for a fun game of "tennis" in the living room.

23.) For youth ministry: You can never be replaced in the children's hearts. So when the time comes, welcome other youth volunteers and/or leaders.

24.) Jealousy eats away at your insides. Be careful how you think. If not, you won't have much to offer others if you've been eaten away.

25.) Never fear the unknown.

26.) Embrace the place where God has you.

27.) A smile speaks a lot to someone.

28.) Your eyes, and other's eyes, are windows to the heart.

29.) Be sensitive to another's needs.

30.) Pay attention to details.

31.) Beginning the day with only yourself and the Lord makes for a better day despite the bad that may develop.

32.) It's okay to want to be alone.

33.) Be inclusive of everybody.

34.) Observe others and pretend you're figuring out what they would like for their birthday. You'll learn a lot about what they like.

35.) Placing a tube of roll up gum in my mouth at once was a stupid goal but a great memory ;]

36.) Listen to your children. You may not remember everything they're saying but they know the difference between not caring and caring. They long to be valued. Show them they are.

37.) Spiders with a fiddle looking design on their backs are poisonous and have no real cure for the bite! -- [Pray! I've seen a sore from it's bite disappear in a matter of days<3]

38.) Time to work: Work hard and diligently.

39.) 8:00 appointment? 10 minutes early is on time. 8:00 is late.

40.) Pray out loud whenever it's appropiate. There's power in spoken prayers.

41.) Making Kool-Aid play dough is a wonderful past-time...It keeps children entertained for a long time ;]

42.) Substituting a bleach bottle for a weight ball has consequences.../:

43.) Do not say "pants" in London. You'll be talking about your underwear.
